Join the museum in welcoming Dr. Sarah Doherty, Associate Professor of U.S. & Public History at North Park University. Doherty’s talk will provide context for why Chicago is central to regional and national conversations and recent scholarship about housing discrimination and exclusionary housing practices.

Dr. Doherty was co-curator of The Historical Society of Oak Park & River Forest’s award-winning exhibit, Open House: The Legacy of Fair Housing and was a core writer and researcher for Naper Settlement’s digital exhibition, Unvarnished: Housing Discrimination in the Northern and Western States. Unvarnished was recently given an Award of Excellence from the American Association for State and Local History.
