On Sunday, June 25th, the Wilmette Historical Society will host its 2023 Historic Garden Walk. The Society’s first Garden Walk was held during the summer of 2021, and its popularity has led to its return this year with new gardens that are sure to fascinate and inspire people of all ages.

Join us in exploring four Wilmette gardens, including the highly-acclaimed gardens of the Bahá’í Temple that have attracted visitors from all over the world since the building and gardens opened in 1953. General Garden Walk highlights include espaliered apple trees, examples of creative screening methods, interesting mixtures of both native and non-native plants, water features, and more! This is a great event for gardeners, history buffs, and for those who are just curious and would enjoy an afternoon stroll and a fun outing.

Ticket proceeds benefit the operating budget and special projects of the Wilmette Historical Museum. Tickets are on sale at the rate of $50 for members, $60 for non-members, and $25 for high school and college students. Tickets can be purchased on our website, by calling the Museum, or by stopping by. Refer to this page for a list of sponsors and for the most up-to-date information, or call us. Tickets can be picked up at the Wilmette Historical Museum on the day of the event between 12:30 and 2:30 P.M. EXTRA TICKETS WILL ALSO BE ON SALE AT THE MUSEUM DURING THAT TIME.

The Museum appreciates the generous support of Bartlett Tree Experts, Boilini Company, Capitanini Team, Chalet Nursery & Garden, De Giulio Kitchen Design, Morgante-Wilson Architects, Nature’s Perspective Landscaping, North Shore Community Bank, Scott Simpson Design + Build, Shumaker Design Associates, and The North Shore Weekend, all sponsors of this year’s Historic Garden Walk.
