Clarence E. Drayer Papers
Clarence E. Drayer (1880-1948), moved to Wilmette in 1918. He was a civil engineer who worked for the railroad from 1902-1918, and then served as executive secretary of the American Engineers Association from 1918-1924. From 1924-1927, he ran an advertising agency, and then in 1928, he became a real-estate broker, founding North Shore Realty which was carried on by his wife and daughter after his death.
